Ferocious Creatures Never Seen by Humans
Let me introduce you to the world of MUCLONES. In the first book of the series, The New World: A Step Backward, the revengeful villain, Zolokt, unleashes hoards of cloned mutants upon the villagers of Ukkiville. I didn't want to have to write "cloned mutants" over and over again, so I twisted and turned those two words in as many variations as possible and decided upon a new term — "muclones" as the best fit. I even googled it and found no occurrences of the word for such a beast.
With decades of trial-and-error experiments, Zolokt became proficient at artificially restructuring DNA strands of numerous animal, insect, and plant matter, creating fiendish combinations. Once he liked a particular concoction, he would clone the hideous beings and release them into the wild after a bit of harsh training.
You might ask. "How could anybody really accomplish such a feat?" Well, the adventure takes place in 2075 — almost 60 years from now. Think of all the tremendous advances that have taken place over a half of century. In the next 60 years, unimaginable discoveries and inventions will unfold.
There have already been explosive advances in DNA and cloning techniques, under highly regulated environments. The New World to unfold in my adventure is "unregulated" and such advances can get crazy and wild. I will attempt to provide a glimpse into a small sliver of the potential beasts that will exist, when DNA, cloning, and tissue rejection and regeneration advances to a higher focus. One thing's for sure — it isn't always pretty!
By the time a reader finishes the first 11 chapters they will have learned about seven different muclones. There are many more that follow. By the end of the book, the reader will have been introduced to more than 15 different muclones to enhance their dream catalog for future nightmares.
If you like eerie eyes, you've got it. How about flesh-shredding, razor-sharp claws? Yep, plenty of those. What about long, spiked, body-ripping fangs? Never a doubt! I know — you won't even consider a book unless it has blood and lots of it. Well, I wouldn't cheat you out of some flowing, gory, rivers of red gunk now — would I? Not to worry! There's blood, blood, everywhere!
If you haven't joined the journey to Ukkiville, don't delay or you will miss out on an opportunity to experience the utter fear these muclones will draw from your innermost depths. Add a little thrill to your life! I'm always excited to bring you a bit of action, suspense, humor, and plenty of hideous creatures lurking in the shadows with a penchant for the taste of your human blood.
