FIRST TESTIMONIAL:
A young mother, managing two jobs and parenting a rambunctious 9-month-old boy, was the first to show up pushing her son in a stroller at my Livonia, Michigan book signing. In her hand she clutched a paperback she purchased to read before the event.
When she reached the table, face glowing with excitement, she recanted her story of the previous evening. Deciding to finish the last 100 pages of the book that prior night, she sat, eyes glued to the pages and deeply involved in the drama of the latter chapters when her husband arrived from work. When he asked about dinner, she replied to-the-point, "busy, reading here, your on your own. I'm too absorbed with these intense scenes and I'm finishing this book!"
She laughed, but I could tell she was serious. Now, how could I not include this wonderful, young mother near the top of the list of many of Thoruk's favorite fans?

SECOND TESTIMONIAL (a very young fan):
This excited 12-year-old boy was the youngest Beta Reader of my manuscript drafts. The only means he possessed to read the story was his mom's iPhone. When his school discovered his interest, they set up a computer for him to continue reading the manuscript in more relaxed fashion. Below is his mom's testimony.
I want you to know that my son loves your book. He hasn’t finished it yet because he’s reading it on my iPhone. His Middle School librarian mentioned to him that if he likes it a lot then she will order some for the school. He said it’s one of his favorites!

FINAL TESTIMONIAL (a fan who has seen a lot in her lifetime):
Proving that adventurous tales written for younger generations can be just as exciting for venerable readers with decades of literary experience, I offer you this testimonial.
A 90-year-old English teacher, Virginia H. of Texas, who had heard of The New World: A Step Backward but couldn't go to the local book signing because of her physical condition requested a signed copy to be delivered to her home.
Always excited to satisfy fans of Thoruk, I graciously signed a book, and it was promptly delivered with a smile. Virginia was very thankful and within a couple of days she excitedly reported that she read the entire book in one day. She enjoyed it very much and assured me it was a well-written piece. With my highly literate new friend in her wheelchair and I in a lounger, we sat for more than an hour discussing the things she like most about the tale. After that, the lovely Virginia was one of the first to receive a signed copy of each new book. She so loved the stories that she read each one in a single day and would share what she liked the very next afternoon. Thoruk has another happy fan!
